Once, a very long time ago, this was wood. Then water, minerals, and an unhurried schedule replaced it piece by piece until the tree became stone without ever losing its grain. Petrified wood is the one item in this store that predates the entire lumber industry, and every other industry too.
It asks for nothing: no watering, no finish, no coaster. Set it on the shelf, the desk, or the mantel and let it do what it has done for ages, which is sit still magnificently. One specimen, one listing. When it's gone, it's gone, though the specimen itself would find our sense of urgency amusing.
