The kids' crewneck in the same undyed organic cotton as the grown-up versions. Grown in Texas, knit in the Carolinas, cut and sewn outside Asheville. Toddler through youth. Soft enough to be the one that keeps getting picked.
Every family has the shirt. It is not the expensive one and it is not the one from the holiday. It is the one that comes out of the dryer and goes straight back on, three days running, until somebody hides it.
This is our attempt at that shirt. Undyed organic cotton, soft from the first wash rather than after twenty, on the same traceable line as the adult versions: Texas-grown, Carolina-spun and knit, cut and sewn by Spiritex outside Asheville. No dye bath, which also means nothing to leach out of it in a house where things end up in mouths.
And the same two words, at a size where they mostly get read by other adults at the playground. The kid does not get the joke yet. The kid will get the joke.
No reviews yet. The first person to live with one gets to say what that’s like.
