Melissa Neigbauer is the owner and creator of Square Girl Soapworks in Stevens Point. Each bar she pours takes six weeks: the pour, then unmolding and cutting twelve hours later, then the cure rack, then beveling and wrapping. Nothing about that can be hurried, which is the point.
Her branding stays on every bar that leaves her shop. She does not white label or allow relabeling, because the soap is hers and she stands behind it. She also makes a Hickory scented goat milk lotion.
We met Melissa at her table at the Wade House craft fair in Greenbush, and came home with a bar of Morning Wood.
Melissa Neigbauer is on this page because they told us in writing that they were fine with it. If you make something with your hands and want the same, we would like to hear about it.
